Belarus helps Phu Yen in fertiliser production

Leaders of the southern central coastal province of Phu Yen on June 11 had a working session with a delegation from the State Science and Technology Committee and the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus to discuss cooperation in fertiliser production and other fields.

At the meeting, the Belarusian side agreed to help with theexperimental use of potassium fertiliser in Phu Yen and some otherregions in Vietnam . Accordingly, in Phu Yen, the fertiliser will beused for the cultivation of rice, sugar cane, cassava and vegetables onan area of 10 hectares for each kind of plant.

Chairman of the Belarusian committee Ihar Voitau said that Belarus isboosting not only political ties but also cooperation in all fields withVietnam .

He said in the future, Belaruswill also work with Phu Yen to produce mechanical engineering equipment,tractors, equipment for mining and oil and gas exploitation andlow-cost materials for road construction using rubber latex combinedwith coconut oil.

Secretary of the provincial PartyCommittee Dao Tan Loc affirmed that the province will create allfavourable conditions for Belarusian investors to operate in theprovince.-VNA
