Binh Duong builds new general hospital

The southern province of Binh Duong on August 28 kicked off construction of a 1,500-bed general hospital in Thu Dau Mot city.

The 19-storey new hospital will be built at a total cost of over 2.3trillion VND (110 million USD). Its construction is expected to becompleted within nearly one year.

According to VicePresident of the provincial People’s Committee Tran Van Nam, the current1,000-bed Binh Duong General Hospital , equipped with out-datedmachines, is always overloaded and no longer able to effectively providehealthcare services to the booming local population of around 1.8million.

Therefore, the new hospital, with modernand high-quality equipment, will better serve the increasing demands oflocal residents, he said.-VNA

Vietnam, France collab♒orate in vaccine production technology transfer

Under the agreement, VNVC and Sanofi will gradually implement technology transfers to enable domestic production of several key Sanofi vaccines that are widely used in Vietnam. In addition, Sanofi will support VNVC in training human resources and quality management in vaccine research and manufacturing.
