Binh Phuoc builds social houses for impoverished households

Binh Phuoc (VNA) – The Military Command of southern province of Binh Phuoc, in collaboration with the Agribank's Binh Phuoc branch, held a groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of 46 solidarity houses for poor and near-poor households and policy bene💫ficiary families in Loc Ninh district on November 1.

The homes are part of a project, comprising a total of 120 houses valued at 9.6 billion VND (380,000 USD), is fully funded by Agribank in 2024. The construction marks the 80th founding anniversary of of the Vietnam People’s Army (December 22, 1944 - 2024) and 35 years of the All-People's Defence Festival (December 22, 1989 - 2024).
The activity not only provides homes but also energises efforts across agencies, organsations, and communities to uplift those in need, aligning with national movements such as "Joining hands for the poor - leaving no one behind" and "Eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses for the poor." Between 2019 and 2023, the “For the Poor” Fund in Binh Phuoc supported the construction of 5,071 solidarity homes for struggling households. From October through the end of 2025, the province aims to complete additional 717 houses, building or renovating homes for poor and near-poor households, and policy-beneficiary families./.
