According to DAH Director Pham Van Dong, the Ministryof Fisheries and Aquaculture (MPA) of Brazil sent Notice No.038/2015 to MAPA on March 27, asking MAPA to allow the resumption ofimport of seafood products from Vietnam.
Dongsaid a number of Vietnamese enterprises are preparing to continueshipping their products to Brazil after the ban is lift.
Previously, MAPA has requested Vietnam to draw out an urgent planfor preventing diseases on tra fish. Immediately after that, DHA sent aletter to MAPA, stating that the requirement was contrary to regulationsof the World Organisation for Animal Health (OIE), the World TradeOrganisation and those in the sanitary and phytosanitary systems(SPS).
