The British Council in Vietnam has launched an intensive English course on economic diplomacy for employees of the Foreign Ministry.

The programme ispart of a UNDP-funded project that aims to enhance economic developmentpolicy and communications between the government and the businesscommunity.

During the eight-week course, 30 trainees will have the chance topractice their listening, reading, speaking and writing skills ontopics relating to free trade, global economic issues and monetarypolicies.

They will also learn how to write and present reports and make presentations at international meetings./.

“I Love My Country” media campaign launched

Running from August 4 to September 2, under the hashtag #TuHaoVietNam, the campaign invites participants in two categories: “I Love My Country” video clips and “I Love My Country” check-in photos.

With a tight 13-month deadline, the move is under a strategic and urgent policy to bridge educational gaps, train the local workforce, and shore up territorial sovereignty in some of the country’s most remote areas.
