Bruneian police have arrested a Vietnamese boat with 10 people on board for fishing in Brunei’s territorial waters.

– Bruneian policehave arrested a Vietnamese boat with 10 people on board for fishing in Brunei’sterritorial waters.

The Royal Brunei Police Force said inan announcement that the crew, between 18 and 50 years old, have been handedover to coast guard for investigation.

According to Bruneian law, thecaptain of a seized boat can be sentenced to up to five years of imprisonmentand fined 100,000 BND (71,271 USD), while each crew member faces one year inprison and a 2,500 BND fine (1,784 USD).-VNA
