Can Tho calls for investment into high-tech agricultural zone

The Mekong Delta city of Can Tho is offering optimal conditions to attract a 26 million USD investment into the building of a high-tech agricultural zone, according to the city’s Investment, Trade and Tourism Promotion Centre.

The Thoi Hung High-Tech Agricultural Zone will cover up to 500 hectares of land in Co Do district.

It will produce plant varieties and breed livestock underinternational standards and apply cutting-edge technology in processingagricultural and aquatic products.

Its operationis set to help expand the application of advanced agriculturaltechnology in Vietnam , as a network of satellite farms andbusinesses will be linked with the zone.

Thepromotion centre said once operating in the zone, investors will have topay only half of the land use fee. They will also be permitted toacquire land without charge for the purpose of building residentialbuildings for workers and public facilities.

✤ They will also receive financial support covering between 70-100 percentof the training expenses for Vietnamese staff. Another 50-70 percent ofadvertising costs in the local media will also be covered, along withmany other incentives.-VNA
