Can Tho (VNA) – All officers and policemenin the Mekong Delta city of Can Tho will be mobilised to ensure security andsafety for the APEC 2017 Food Security Week and High-Level Policy Dialogue onEnhancing Food Security and Sustainable Agriculture in Response to ClimateChange scheduled for August 21-25.
Besides, the Can Tho Police will team up withdepartments and agencies in the city to popularise the significance of APECevents among local people, and encourage them to joint these efforts, heard aconference on the work held in Can Tho on August 15.
Colonel Tran Ngoc Hanh, Director of the CanTho Police, said his agency will keep a close watch on security as well associal order and safety in the locality, and mobilise all resources to servethe events.
The 2017 Food Security Week and theHigh-Level Policy Dialogue will feature 15 meetings, seminars and conferences.Of note, a ministerial meeting is expected to draw the participation high-rankingleaders of APEC economies and more than 500 delegates. -VNA
