Ceremony held to bid farewell to staff of level-2 field hospital No.3 to South Sudan
The Ministry of National Defence held a ceremony in Ho Chi Minh City on March 24 to bid farewell to the staff of the level-2 field hospital No. 3 setting off for Bentiu, South Sudan, to join the United Nations peacekeeping mission.

HCM City (VNA) – The Ministry ⛄of National Defence held a ceremony in Ho Chi MinhCity on March 24 to bid farewell to the staff of the level-2 field hospital No. 3 sett🍎ing off for Bentiu, South Sudan, to join the United Nations peacekeeping mission.
Boarding military aircraft C17 of the Australian Department ofDefence, thirty-three out of the total 64 staff members of the hospital expressed their delightand pride when taking part in the mission.

The level-2 field hospital No. 3 was established in March 2020 with 70 officers and soldiers, including 64 official and six reserve members, who were all vaccinated against COVID-19.
Before departure, they undertook several technical trainingcourses.
The second group of staff🌸 of the hospi♔tal is scheduled to depart on April 21./.
Permanent Representative of Vietnam to the UN Ambassador Dang Dinh Quy has emphasised the need to offer COVID-19 vaccine to peacekeepers, particularly those at high risk, such as medical workers at field hospitals and forces operating in areas severely hit by the pandemic.
Ambassador Dang Dinh Quy, Vietnam's Permanent Representative to the UN, on March 3 called on the government and relevant sides in South Sudan to accelerate the transitional process and take effective measures to handle violence among communities.
Military Hospital 175 in Ho Chi Minh City on March 16 gave COVID-19 vaccinations to officers and soldiers of level-2 Field Hospital No 3, who are about to set off for South Sudan, as well as to hospital staff working on the frontlines of the COVID-19 fight.
The Defence Ministry held a ceremony on March 23 in Ho Chi Minh City to send off the staff of the third Level-2 Field Hospital, who will participate in the UN peacekeeping mission in South Sudan.

During the negotiations, the US highly evaluated Vietnam’s goodwill and efforts, affirmed its appreciation for the bilateral relationship, acknowledged Vietnam’s proposals and concerns, and considered these an important basis for continuing discussions and moving towards a final agreement.
The Chairman stressed the need for stricter fiscal discipline, faster digital transformation, and more efficient management of State budget revenues and expenditures.
