The Vietnamese Embassy in Laos held a ceremony on October 6 in Vientiane to commemorate 21 st anniversary of Lao teachers’ day (October 7).

The Vietnamese Embassy in Laos held a ceremony on October 6 in Vientiane to commemorate 21 st anniversary of Lao teachers’ day (October 7), bringing together Lao teachers and Vietnamese officials and businessmen who once studied at the National University of Laos.
The event was also attended by Vietnamese Ambassador to Laos Nguyen Manh Hung and Lao Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Education and Sports Phankham Viphavan. Vietnamese Ambassador to Laos Nguyen Manh Hung conveyed his best regards to Lao teachers for educating Vietnamese students who contribute to developing the country as well as nurturing the special traditional relations between Vietnam and Laos. Meanwhile, Director of the National University of Laos Suckongseng Sayaloth thanked the Vietnamese Embassy for organising the ceremony and expressing his delight at seeing former students who have fostered the relations between the two nations.-VNA

“I Love My Country” media campaign launched

Running from August 4 to September 2, under the hashtag #TuHaoVietNam, the campaign invites participants in two categories: “I Love My Country” video clips and “I Love My Country” check-in photos.

With a tight 13-month deadline, the move is under a strategic and urgent policy to bridge educational gaps, train the local workforce, and shore up territorial sovereignty in some of the country’s most remote areas.
