The 13th annual Fun Run for charity will launch a "Great Week" inVietnam to celebrate 40 years of diplomatic relations between Vietnamand the UK.
"Great Week" will take place in Ho Chi MinhCity, Da Nang and Hanoi from September 29 to October 5, featuringvarious events on culture, economy and education, said British ConsulGeneral Douglas Barnes.
Fun Run, an annual event raising moneyfor needy people in Vietnam , is organised by British Business GroupVietnam (BBGV).
The 4km run will take place on September 29, andis expected to be a record year with 8,000 runners and walkers raising900 million VND (42,800 USD), Nick Holder, chairman of BBGV said at apress briefing on September 10.
He said that since the first FunRun in 2000, the BBGV has raised 6 billion VND to benefit charities inVietnam with a total of 47,000 participants.
The proceedssupported activities including: providing medical assistance tochildren; building restrooms for eight rural kindergartens in thecentral province of Binh Thuan and building eight bridges and a 1km-longroad in the Mekong Delta province of Hau Giang.-VNA
The exhibition features works by 12 professional and amateur photographers from Laos, Vietnam, Cambodia, and Thailand. The photos, taken between April and October 2023, offer an authentic look at the effects of climate change.

The exhibition showcases more than 100 valuable documents and artifacts, divided into two main parts: “Journalist Nguyen Ai Quoc – Ho Chi Minh” and “President Ho Chi Minh – Founder and Mentor of Vietnamese Revolutionary Press.” This is an opportunity to recall the late leader’s journalism journey and affirm his exceptional role in founding and guiding the revolutionary press in Vietnam.
