Meeting with localdignitaries and followers on December 22-23, deputy heads of thecommittee Tran Viet Hung and H’Ngam Nie Kdam hailed their positivecontributions to the province’s socio-economic development andsecurity-defence maintenance.
They affirmed thatthe committee and local authorities will create all favourableconditions for the Catholic and Protestant communities to practise theirreligions. Right Reverend of the Ban Me Thuatdiocese Vinh Son Nguyen Van Ban expressed his gratitude for theassistance, saying that he will continue encouraging parishioners toobey the Party’s guidelines and the State’s policies and laws as well asmaking efforts to further develop the locality. From December 20-23, delegations from the Steering Committee for theSouthwestern Region, and the Party Committee, People’s Council, People’sCommittee and Vietnam Fatherland Front of the Mekong Delta province HauGiang paid Christmas visits to Catholic and Protestant dignitaries andfollowers in the locality.-VNA

“I Love My Country” media campaign launched

Running from August 4 to September 2, under the hashtag #TuHaoVietNam, the campaign invites participants in two categories: “I Love My Country” video clips and “I Love My Country” check-in photos.

With a tight 13-month deadline, the move is under a strategic and urgent policy to bridge educational gaps, train the local workforce, and shore up territorial sovereignty in some of the country’s most remote areas.
