Moscow (VNA) – Vietnamese youths in Russia celebrated the 86th foundinganniversary of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union (March 26, 1931) at theHanoi-Moscow Complex (Incentra), Moscow on March 26.
Speaking atthe meeting, Le Anh Duy, Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union Delegationto the Russia Federation, gave a brief overview of the union’s activities in2016, saying it successfully held the cultural exchange performances with theLeninist Komsomol and launched a donation campaign to aid flood-affected peoplein Vietnam.
Anh thankedthe Vietnamese Embassy to Russia, the Overseas Party Committee and other Vietnameseassociations in Russia for their support to the union last year and expressedhis hope for more assistance in the future.
Pham DucVinh, Deputy Secretary of the Overseas Party Committee in Russia, reaffirmed thatthe Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union is a helpful arm of the Communist Partyof Vietnam. He lauded the accomplishment of the union in the past and urged theunion’s members to continue learning to improve themselves.
Outstandingindividuals and organisations who greatly contributed to the union’s operationwere honoured during the event.-VNA
