Competition to seek initiatives for national innovation ecosystem

The Vietnam Young Initiatives (InnoCity) 2021 competition, which aims to collect initiatives for the national creativity and innovation ecosystem, has been launched by the Vietnamese Student Association in the Netherlands and the Global Network of Young Vietnamese Intellectuals.

Hanoi (VNA) - The Vietnam YoungInitiatives (InnoCity) 2021 competition,which aims to collect initiativesfor the national creativity and innovationecosystem, has been launched by the Vietnamese Student Association in the Netherlands andthe Global Network of Young Vietnamese Intellectuals. 

Organised for the first time with Europe as thestarting location, the competition is open to young peopleand students aged 18-30 who are studying at European institutions, universities,and colleges or living in European countries.

The competition aims to collect initiatives andsolutions with high applicability from young Vietnamese intellectuals to serve thegoal of improving quality of life in Vietnam or that have the potential to promotestartups and innovation in the country.

Inspired by the concept of “smart city”, the InnoCitycompetition is expected to create a large playing field for young Vietnamese livingin Europe to offer their solutions relating to energy - environment, smart education,digital heath - public health, transport, and other urgent sectors for the developmentof smart cities in Vietnam.

The application round will last until July 15. The second stage, from August 1to August 29, will be for constructing ideas andmodels. The third phase, from August 31 to September 30, will be for the trial ofideas and the development of product prototypes.

The organisers will select 12 teams for the finalround on October 2./.
