Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc has approved the organisation of a conference on promoting land concentration to serve large-scale agricultural production and agricultural industrialization and modernization.
Hanoi (VNA) – Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuchas approved the organisation of a conference on promoting land concentrationto serve large-scale agricultural production and agricultural industrializationand modernization.
The PM assigned the Ministry of Natural Resources andEnvironment to be in charge of the organisation work. The ministry is tocoordinate with the Party Central Committee’s Economic Commission, the Ministryof Agriculture and Rural Development, the Ministry of Planning and Investmentand related agencies to prepare content for the event.
Key topics will be the situation of land use, the realneeds for land, the necessity of land concentration for agricultural productionand socio-economic development, along with difficulties and obstacles in theprocess of land concentration.
The agencies are also tasked with analyzing andassessing the impacts of existing land concentration policies on socio-economicand environmental issues. They are required to propose solutions in terms ofmechanisms, policies and methods of implementation to promote landconcentration, as well as tasks, in-charge agencies and roadmaps to achieve settargets.-VNA
The Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment (MoNRE) will continue to work towards an institutional breakthrough for promoting the agglomeration of land for large-scale agricultural production.
A national land database will be completed in 2020 and information on land from the smallest administrative unit to the central level would be available.
