Hanoi (VNA) – President of theVietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee Tran Thanh Man has sent acongratulatory message to President of the Lao Front for National ConstructionSaysomphone Phomvihane on the occasion of the 55th founding anniversary ofVietnam-Laos diplomatic ties (September 5, 1962).

Man also congratulated his Lao counterpart on the40th year of the Vietnam-Laos Treaty on Amity and Cooperation (July 18, 1977).

Since Vietnam and Laos set up diplomatic ties in1962, the bilateral cooperation has flourished, especially in economy, tradeand investment.

To fulfil the target of 4 billion USD in two-waytrade by 2020, the two sides will launch new cooperation projects in Laos andassist existing projects, while carrying out the agreement on border and bordergate management and the protocol on borderline and national border markers.-VNA

Legislators mull over bil💝l on state of emergency
