Vietnam, Indonesia discuss EEZ delimitation
Vietnam and Indonesia have continued their discussions on issues relating to the delimitation of the two countries’ Exclusive Economic Zone (EEZ) boundary based on the principles of the UNCLOS.
Hanoi (VNA) – State President Tran Dai Quang and Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc on August 16 sent congratulatory messages to Indonesia’s President Joko Widodo on his country’s 71st Independence Day (August 17).
On the day, Vice State President Dang Thi Ngoc Thinh extended her greetings to her counterpart Yusuf Kalla.
Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Pham Binh Minh cabled his congratulations to Foreign Minister Retno Marsudi.
Vietnam and Indonesia set up their diplomatic ties in 1955 and upgraded their comprehensive partnership to a strategic partnership in June 2013.
Both countries are members of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN).-VNA
