Congratulations to Indonesian leaders on re-election

Hanoi (VNA) – General Secretary and President Nguyen Phu Trong as wellas Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc sent congratulations on May 21 to Indonesian President Joko Widodo on his re-election.
The same day, Vice President Dang Thi Ngoc Thinh congratulated Indonesia’s re-electedVice President Ma’ruf Amin.
In their congratulations, the Vietnamese leaders expressed their beliefthat President Widodo and Vice President Amin willlead the nation and people towards new achievements.
They hoped with the effort and determination of the two countries’ leaders, theVietnam-Indonesia strategic partnership will continue to develop with greatstrength for the benefit of their peoples and for the peace, stability, andprosperity of the ASEAN Community. –VNA
Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc on September 12 met with Indonesian President Joko Widodo, who is paying a state visit to Vietnam and attending the World Economic Forum on ASEAN (WEF ASEAN) 2018.
Vietnam and Indonesia issued a joint statement for strengthening the Strategic Partnership on the occasion of Indonesian President Joko Widodo’s state visit to Vietnam from September 11-12.

The trip will be made at the invitations of Chinese Premier Li Qiang and WEF President and CEO Børge Brende, according to an announcement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
