Ground clearance for the first section from Tan Van-Nhon Trach will becarried out next year, announced the Dong Nai People’s Committee andthe Asian Development Bank on November 4.

TheDong Nai local authority said compensation for land acquisition toconstruct the 26km section between the Tan Van three-way crossroads(National Highway No. 1A) and Nhon Trach (Nhon Trach Bridge crossingDong Nai River), and resettlement will be developed carefully toharmonise interests of both local people and investors.

The Ho Chi Minh City Ring Road No.3 Project contains Tan Van-NhonTrach, Binh Chuan-National Highway 22 and Highway 22-Ben Luc sections.

The project will have a significant impact onsocio-economic development in the eastern region of Southern Vietnamin general and in Dong Nai in particular, said Vice Chairman of Dong NaiPeople’s Committee Tran Van Vinh.

The road is oneof four important ring roads in Vietnam ’s 2020 expressway networkdevelopment plan that has a vision beyond 2020 approved by PrimeMinister Nguyen Tan Dung in 2008.

The constructioncovers a total length of 73km through four provinces and cities, namelyHo Chi Minh City, Long An, Dong Nai and Binh Duong provinces.-VNA
