Da Nang (VNA) – The University of DaNang in the central Da Nang city hosted the international conference on“University-Enterprise Cooperation in Asia: Trends and Challenges” on October6.

The conference was held as part of the EU-fundedproject “Heightening University-Business partnerships for Smart and SustainableGrowth in Asia – HUB4GROWTH”. It brought together participants from academia,business and other stakeholders interested in the interplay between educationand economic development.

The organising board hoped the event will helpstart long-term and sustainable partnerships between universities andbusinesses in Vietnam and overseas; create opportunities for cooperation inresearch, technological transfer, and curriculum development; and enhancestudents’ employability.

The HUB4GROWTH project, involving four Europeanand eight Asian universities, is responsible for providing training forlecturers and establishing University-Enterprise centres at the participating Asianuniversities. 

It will promote good practices for settingbusiness interfaces in universities, enhance human resources’ capacities,provide for coherent information and communication strategies amongst theuniversities and within the local business environment. It will also givenecessary strategic input for the creation of long-term partnerships andcollaborative innovation-related initiatives with enterprises.-VNA

🅷 Maximum fine of 3,000 USD proposed for violating invoice regulations

Under a draft to amend and supplement the Government's Decree 125/2020/ND-CP on administrative sanctions for violations of tax and invoice regulations, the Ministry of Finance has proposed classifying the failure to issue invoices into five different levels. Infraction levels will correspond to fines of 1 million VND to 80 million VND, depending on the nature and number of invoicing violations.
