Da Nang (VNA) – Da Nang will host a virtual fireworks competition next year as a biennial even♋t, which will alternate with the Da Nang International Fireworks Competition.

The city's authorities said the virtual fireworks competition, titled The Legendary Han River, will serve as practice for fireworks teams to test their skills in preparation for the main firework event, which aims to boost tourism in the city. The virtual fireworks competition is open to people from across the country, overseas Vietnamese and foreign residents living in Vietnam.
Teams can register to compete in the event through November 30, while the final round for the best teams will be organised from May 10-30. The winner will walk away with a 15 million VND (700 USD) cash prize, while the runner-up and third-place winner will pocket 10 million VND (476 USD) and 7 million VND (333 USD), respectively. According to the event's judges, each competitor will be given points for skill, creativity, art and technology.
The central city's Department of Information and Communications said the virtual fireworks competition is a creativity contest for youngsters studying information technology nationwide. Da Nang has held the virtual fireworks competition three times.  The city's Han river has been a favourite place to host the International Fireworks competition since 2008.

Indian writer captivated by Vietna🌌m’s Cham culture

Taking a journey to the Cham Museum — the modest building in Phan Rang –Thap Cham, Indian writer Ankita Mahabir said that the museum might not boast size but it brims with pride for the local community, featuring carefully preserved sandstone sculptures, portraits, and rare artifacts.

For years, the Vietnamese community in many countries rarely had the chance to experience Vietnam’s traditional arts and culture actitivies organized by the Vietnam government, except the annual event “Vietnam Day Abroad” that has been organised by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs since 2010. But the year 2024 marked a turning point.

In the context of international integration and globalisation, culture and art education plays a vital role in promoting the all-round development of Vietnam's young generation.
