Da Nang university to boost ties with French partners

DaNang (VNA) - Da Nang University, the University ofNice Sophia Antipolis and the Agence Universitaire de la Francophonie (AUF)(Francophone University Association) have inked a Memorandum of Understanding(MoU) in the fields of scientific research, education and student exchange,technology transfer, communications, business management, water management, andembedded software systems.

Followingthe MoU, the French partners plan to launch a Master of Business Administration(MBA) course, updated technology applications, innovation research andscientific information exchange.

Asscheduled, Vietnamese and French students can enjoy education exchangeprogrammes in both Da Nang and France.

DaNang University is one of the top 50 universities in ASEAN, and a key humanresource centre for the central and Central Highlands regions.

Theuniversity also plans to establish a teacher training college for engineeringand the Vietnam-United Kingdom University in the central city from next year.

TheDa Nang University Village project, which was planned in 1997 with totalinvestment of 1.7 trillion VND (75.2 million USD), will resume constructionlater this year after a 20-year delay.

The university, which has developed 12college-level education centres in the last 20 years, trains 90,000 students intechnology, engineering, science, economics, trade, finance, foreign languages,medicine, culture, tourism and media studies per year.-VNA

“I Love My Country” media campaign launched

Running from August 4 to September 2, under the hashtag #TuHaoVietNam, the campaign invites participants in two categories: “I Love My Country” video clips and “I Love My Country” check-in photos.

With a tight 13-month deadline, the move is under a strategic and urgent policy to bridge educational gaps, train the local workforce, and shore up territorial sovereignty in some of the country’s most remote areas.
