Dak Nong (VNA) – The Central Highlands province of Dak Nong has worked to address temporary and dilapidated housing through carrying out the national target programmes for the 2021-2025 period.

According to the provincial Department of Construction, localities have built new homes and repaired substandard ones for 127 poor and near-poor households under the national target programme on sustainable poverty alleviation. An additional 271 families have received housing support under the programme on socio-economic development in ethnic minority-inhabited and mountainous areas.

However, housing assistance efforts have faced significant challenges, including issues with land ownership and planning, as well as rising material costs that exceed the available support funds.

Besides the funding from the programmes, the province has called on businesses, organisations, and benefactors to aid housing construction and renovation work, helping vulnerable populations stabilise their lives and escape poverty.

🥀 Dak Nong looks to complete the removal of temporary and dilapidated houses across the province by December 31, 2025, aligning with the Government directive./.
