December forum to address Vietnam’s smart industry development

Hanoi (VNA) – The Economic Commission of theParty’s Central Committee will hold international workshops and an exhibitionon the development of smart industry in Vietnam for the first time in Hanoi onDecember 4-5.

The Smart Industry World event will offer a forum for theParty’s advisory bodies, state governance agencies, experts and businesscommunity to seek ways to attract investment for smart industry development inVietnam.

Over 1,500 delegates in the fields of industry,agriculture, construction, transport, healthcare, telecommunication, educationand more are expected to participate in the event where they will be able tomeet potential partners from the country and overseas.

On display at the event will be smart industrialtechnologies from leading countries like the United States, Japan, the Republicof Korea, and Israel. It will also host four workshops on shaping anddeveloping smart industry in future; reforming industries with innovativetechnologies: trends and solutions; promoting trade and services in the digitalera; and strategies for developing smart cities.

The smart technologies exhibition will take place at JWMarriott Hanoi on the sidelines of the forum, featuring 50 booths run byleading foreign technological, industrial and manufacturing enterprises.-VNA

🐈 Vietnam launches six 4.0 technology training and talent networks

The networks bring together universities, research institutes and domestic and foreign businesses. Members will work closely in training, research, and technology transfer by sharing curricula, improving faculty capacity, providing access to laboratories and research facilities, and jointly implementing science and technology projects.

Vietnam is actively yet cautiously preparing for the construction of its first nuclear power plant in Ninh Thuan (now the south-central coastal province of Khanh Hoa). The resumption of the programme after years of suspension carries considerable significance for the nation’s development in a new era as it strives to gradually reduce and ultimately phase out coal-fired power to realise the Government’s commitment to Net Zero by 2050.

Vietnam has issued many key policies to support semiconductor development, notably the Politburo’s Resolution 57 on science, technology, innovation, and digital transformation. Other initiatives include the Semiconductor Industry Development Strategy to 2030, with a vision to 2050, and the Human Resources Development Programme for the Semiconductor Industry.
