Vinh Phuc (VNA) – Vice Secretary ofthe Central Military Commission and Minister of National Defence Gen. Phan VanGiang visited and offered New Year wishes to several units of the army in the northernprovince of Vinh Phuc on January 20.

Giang asked the province to continue ensuringnational defence-security, considering it a key and regular task whileimproving material and spiritual lives so as to offer a warm Tet to all residents.

Vice Secretary of the provincial PartyCommittee Hoang Thi Thuy Lan said the province earmarked over 37 billion VND (1.633 million USD) as gifts to policy beneficiaries and poor households for Tet. It alsodirected armed forces to ensure social safety and order for the occasion.

On the occasion, Giang granted 750 gifts to policybeneficiaries, poor workers and residents in the province.
