Delegation visits Truong Sa island district, platform

Over 200 delegates from the Ministry of Health, the Vietnam Electricity (EVN) and the Ethnic Art Troupe of Hoa Binh province visited soldiers and people in Truong Sa island district and DK 1 platform in the south-central province of Khanh Hoa from April 29 to May 5.

HCM City (VNA) – Over 20🧜0 delegates from the Ministry of Health, the Vietnam Electricity (EVN) and the Ethnic Art Troupe of Hoa Binh province visited soldiers and people in Truong Sa island district and DK 1 platform in the south-central province of Khanh Hoa from April 29 to May 5.

During their trip, they attended a flag salute ceremony and parade of naval officers and soldiers and people on Song Tu (Southwest Cay) on April 30 on the occasion of the 49th anniversary of the liberation of the South and the national reunification (April 30, 1975-2024). Deputy Minister of Health Nguyen Thi Lien Huong, a member of the delegation, spoke highly of the efforts by the soldiers and people there and expressed her delight to see that more facilities, cultural works and schools have been built, helping improve their living conditions.
Navy Colonel Cao Van Son said that in recent years, together with the attention of the Party and State, people across the country and overseas Vietnamese have supported naval officers and soldiers. Many provinces and cities annually organise delegations to visit the island district and the platform.
During this trip, the delegation offered incenses at spiritual cultural works on the islands and commemorated the martyrs who sacrificed their lives to protect the sovereignty of the sea and islands of the nation and held cultural and artistic exchange activities. They also presented the soldiers and people in the island district and the platform with necessities, equipment, food, medical supplies and other items./.
