Dong Nai invests in automatic wastewater monitoring stations

The southern province of Dong Nai plans to invest more than 30 billion VND (1.37 million USD) in installing six automatic wastewater monitoring stations this year, according to the provincial Department of Natural Resources and Environment.

They will be installedin six industrial zones, namely Fosmosa Zones 1 and 2 in Nhon Trachdistrict, Agtex Long Binh in Bien Hoa city, Long Duc in Long Thanhdistrict, Xuan Loc in Xuan Loc district, and Suoi Tre in Long Khanhtown.

The stations will observe the operationprocess of wastewater treatment systems then send data to the Departmentonce every 30 minutes for monitoring purposes.

According to Deputy Director of the Department Nguyen Ngoc Thuong, theprovince has deployed 22 stations in local industrial zones since 2012in an effort to protect the environment.

Dong Nai ishome to 29 operational industrial zones. All of them are equipped withwastewater treatment systems, and three of them have air samplingsystems.-VNA
