Hanoi (VNA) – Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK)leader Kim Jong-un and US President Donald Trump agreed to continue productive dialogueson denuclearisation and improvement in bilateral relations, the KoreanCentral News Agency (KCNA) reported.
According to the agency, Chairman Kim andPresident Trump expressed their confidence that they can make epochalimprovement in the DPRK-US relations if they hold hands firmly and exercisewisdom and patience, although there are many unavoidable obstacles ahead.
DPRK Foreign Minister Ri Yong-ho said at a press conference on February28 midnight that the DPRK had offered to dismantle its Yongbyon nuclear plant in exchange for partial sanctions relief.However, the US was not ready to accept the proposal.
The minister said this is a “realistic proposal” and it will never change inthe future even if the US wants further talks.-VNA
