The Party Central Committee’s Secretary Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan on March 25 received Ri Yong-chol, First Secretary of the Kim Il-sung Socialist Youth League Central Committee of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK), who heads a youth delegation on a visit to Vietnam .

At the meeting, Ri Yong-chol congratulated Vietnamon the success of its 11 th National Party Congress and expressed hispleasure at the change to visit Vietnam on the occasion of the 80 thfounding anniversary of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union(HCMCYU).

He spoke highly of the role Vietnameseyouth and the HCMCYU have played in the country’s construction anddefence, adding that the DPRK Youth League hopes to boost cooperationwith the HCMCYU with a view to exchanging information and experiences onyouth movements, thus contributing to traditional friendship relationsbetween the two Parties and countries.

SecretaryNguyen Thi Kim Ngan hailed the visit of Ri Yong-chol and his entourageas new development in cooperative relations between the two youthunions. She also echoed his hope that the two countries’ youth willcontinue to maintain and develop traditional cooperative relations aswell as implement various exchange activities in order to enhancebilateral friendship and mutual understanding./.

“I Love My Country” media campaign launched

Running from August 4 to September 2, under the hashtag #TuHaoVietNam, the campaign invites participants in two categories: “I Love My Country” video clips and “I Love My Country” check-in photos.

With a tight 13-month deadline, the move is under a strategic and urgent policy to bridge educational gaps, train the local workforce, and shore up territorial sovereignty in some of the country’s most remote areas.
