Hoa Binh (VNA) – Police in Cao Phon🐻gdistri♛ct in the northern mountainous province of Hoa Binh on March 19 arresteda man transporting drugs from Laos to Vietnam.
The arrested man was Nguyen Nam Duc, born in1980, who is residing in the province’s Mai Chau district. He was caughtred-handed smuggling 1kg of crystal methamphetamine and seven bags containingabout 1,400 meth pills. Duc admitted that he and another man, namedTuan, had bought the drugs from Laos. Tuan then hired Duc to transport the drugsinto Vietnam. The case is being further investigated by HoaBinh province’s police.
A day earlier, the border guard force in thecentral province of Ha Tinh also arrested a man carrying 15kg ofmethamphetamine from Laos to Vietnam.
Thao Cu Mua, 31, from the Mong ethnicminority group in Laos’ Bolikhamsai province was caught allegedly smuggling15kg of methamphetamine contained in 15 yellow plastic bags.
Mua admitted that hౠe 🍸transported the druginto Vietnam for a Vietnamese person for 120,000 USD.-VNA

Thai police have arrested a Thai Vietnamese for his links with a case of trafficking of 14 rhino horns from South Africa to Thailand in December 2017, local media reported.
