Hanoi (VNA) – Prime Minister of the Netherlands MarkRutte begins an official visit to Vietnam on April 9 at the invitation of hisVietnamese counterpart Nguyen Xuan Phuc.

He is accompaniedby Minister of Infrastructure and Water Management Cora vanNieuwenhuizen; Vice-Minister of Agriculture, Nature and Food Quality MarjolijnSonnema; State Secretary for Finance Menno Snel; and President ofthe Confederation of Netherlands Industry andEmployers Hans de Boer.

Amidst the growing Vietnam-Netherlandsrelations, the visit is an important event marking a new stride in bilateralties. It is also an occasion for the two countries’ leaders to discuss measuresto enhance collaboration in politics-diplomacy and trade-investment andintensify existing cooperation frameworks, especially the strategic partnershipon climate change adaptation – water management and on sustainable agriculture– food security.

This is PM Rutte’s second visit to the SoutheastAsian nation after his first in 2014.-VNA
