A painting exhibition took place in the central city of Da Nang on January 22 to welcome for the 2019 Lunar New Year-the Year of the Pig.

The exhibition showcases more than 50 paintings by 40 local artists, featuring a new spring, Tet atmosphere and pigs, the Vietnamese zodiac for this year. In many Asian cultures, pigs represent prosperity. Through the eyes of artists all the artworks show several lively nuances, bringing joy to audiences in a new spring. The exhibition will run until February 14 at the Da Nang Fine Arts Museum./.
