HCM City (VNA) – The 17th VietnamInternational Printing, Packaging and Food Processing Industry Exhibition beganat the Saigon Exhibition & Conference Centre in Ho Chi Minh City on October5.

The 4-day event features 480 stalls operated by 300 firmsfrom 11 countries and territories, including Canada, India, Japan, and theRepublic of Korea.

A wide range of printing and packaging machines,technologies and materials are on display at the fair.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Nguyen Van Dong, head ofthe Vietnam Printing Association, said thanks to higher demand in domesticproduction and export, the printing and packaging industry in Vietnam hasrecorded upbeat growth in recent years, at an annual average of 15-20 percent.

According to him, printing-packaging serving the foodprocessing industry will grow about 38 percent between 2015 and 2020.

Pham Xuan Da, head of thesouthern office of the Ministry of Science and Technology, stressed that theexhibition is an opportunity for Vietnamese enterprises to learn from and formpartnerships with their foreign peers.-VNA

Under a draft to amend and supplement the Government's Decree 125/2020/ND-CP on administrative sanctions for violations of tax and invoice regulations, the Ministry of Finance has proposed classifying the failure to issue invoices into five different levels. Infraction levels will correspond to fines of 1 million VND to 80 million VND, depending on the nature and number of invoicing violations.
