Organised bythe Agent Orange Jutice (AOJ) under the Australia -VietnamSolidarity Network, the exhibition with the theme “Beautiful Art forInnocent Children” is showcasing about 100 works by more than 80popular Vietnamese and Australian artists.
TheGovernor of New South Wales, Marie Bashir, the Vietnamese Ambassador toAustralia , Hoang Vinh Thanh, the Vietnamese Consul-General inSydney, Mai Phuoc Dung and hundreds of viewers have attended the event.
Speaking at the opening, Marie Bashirexpressed her deep sympathy towards AO victims, including Vietnamesechildren. She said she always supports Vietnam in its way to ask forjustice for the victims.
At the exhibition,Australian celebrated actor Kate Mullvany performed extracts from heraward-winning play “The Seed”, which tells about the daughter of anAustralian veteran, who participated in the war in Vietnam and isaffected by Agent Orange.
Pham Tuong Vi, theorganising board’s representative, said all funds raised from the eventwill be delivered directly to the Vietnam Association of Victims ofAgent Orange (AO)/dioxin, for a facility caring for newborn and childvictims.-VNA
