Fair boosts trade links with Mekong Sub-region

As many as 200 businesses including Cambodia companies are promoting their products at a trade fair which kicked off on May 28 in Xuan To industrial zone, Tinh Bien district, southern An Giang province.
As many as 200 businesses including Cambodia companies arepromoting their products at a trade fair which kicked off on May 28 inXuan To industrial zone, Tinh Bien district, southern An Giang province.

Tinh Bien–An Giang International Trade Fair 2013, now in its seventh year, evolved from a border trade fair.

It saw the presence of over 500 booths, introducing a wide range ofitems such as agricultural and aquatic products, foodstuff, householdappliances, garments and textiles, machinery, construction materials andtourism products.

The event is a chance fordomestic enterprises, especially those in the Mekong Delta region, toincrease investment cooperation with other partners in the MekongSub-region, paving the way for the formation of a trade route from theMekong Delta provinces of Vietnam to neighbouring Cambodia andother ASEAN countries.

During the 6-day fair, anumber of events are scheduled to take place, including a seminar ontrade connectivity in the Mekong Sub-region and other cultural, artisticand culinary activities.-VNA

Under a draft to amend and supplement the Government's Decree 125/2020/ND-CP on administrative sanctions for violations of tax and invoice regulations, the Ministry of Finance has proposed classifying the failure to issue invoices into five different levels. Infraction levels will correspond to fines of 1 million VND to 80 million VND, depending on the nature and number of invoicing violations.
