FDI firms in Vinh Phuc province recruit more workers

Foreign direct investment (FDI) enterprises have played an increasingly important role in boosting socio-economic development in the northern province of Vinh Phuc, especially in generating jobs for workers.

Vinh Phuc (VNA) – Foreign direct investment (FDI) enterprises haveplayed an increasingly important role in boosting socio-economic development inthe northern province of Vinh Phuc, especially in generating jobs for workers.

In 2017, theprovince had 139 FDI businesses which employed 70,551 labourers with an averageincome of 4.9 million VND (211 USD) per person per month.

By the end oflast year, there were 305 valid FDI projects in the province, which generatejobs for 82,000 workers, with an average income of 7 million VND per person permonth.

To attract FDIfirms, Vinh Phuc has synchronously implemented measures such as speeding upground clearance, offering incentives on land rent, and investing ininfrastructure at industrial zones.

It has paidattention to investment promotion, and employment affairs, with the focus placedon offering vocational training for locals.

The province hasalso stepped up the dissemination of information to raise awareness ofenvironmental protection among enterprises and investors, and intensifiedinspections to detect and handle law violations related to environmentalprotection.-VNA

Under a draft to amend and supplement the Government's Decree 125/2020/ND-CP on administrative sanctions for violations of tax and invoice regulations, the Ministry of Finance has proposed classifying the failure to issue invoices into five different levels. Infraction levels will correspond to fines of 1 million VND to 80 million VND, depending on the nature and number of invoicing violations.
