Festival day lights up children’s dreams

The third Youth Development Club Festival Day has been held in Vinh Long commune, Vinh Loc district in the central province of Thanh Hoa by the non-governmental organization Good Neighbours International (GNI) Vietnam, aiming to enhance the comprehensive capacity of poor children across the country.

 Thanh Hoa (VNA)ꦯ – The third Youth DevelopmentClub Festival Day has been held in Vinh Long commune, Vinh Loc district in thecentral province of Thanh Hoa by the non-governmental organization GoodNeighbours International (GNI) Vietnam, aiming to enhance the comprehensivecapacity of poor children across the country.

Dao Thien Ly, GNI Programme Director in Vietnam, said theevent has been held annually since 2017.

As of September this year, the organization had supportedand operated 37 clubs in different fields suchas football, math, painting, English and science at primary and secondaryschools in the provinces of Hoa Binh, Tuyen Quang and Thanh Hoa, she said.

This year, the festival wasthemed “What do you dream?” with the aim of motivating and encouraging children topursue their dreams.

🍰 Participants took part in variousactivities such as writing, painting, theatre drama and mind games.

The event also included team building activities ondream-related topics, including The Amazing Race, billiards, foosball, flycamphotography and football. Inthe evening the children enjoyed a galanight including dancing and singing performances by club members, and an exchangeprogramme with celebrities such as artists Tu Long and Xuan Bac./.

“I Love My Country” media campaign launched

Running from August 4 to September 2, under the hashtag #TuHaoVietNam, the campaign invites participants in two categories: “I Love My Country” video clips and “I Love My Country” check-in photos.

With a tight 13-month deadline, the move is under a strategic and urgent policy to bridge educational gaps, train the local workforce, and shore up territorial sovereignty in some of the country’s most remote areas.
