– Hundreds of people took part in a firefighting drillat Vietnam’s highest building, Landmark 81, in Binh Thanh district, Ho Chi MinhCity, on October 24.

The drill was carried out based on a simulated situation that a blaze caused byan electrical short circuit at the seventh floor of the 461-m building spreadto other floors, leaving many stranded.

Competent forces in the city coordinated to rescue stranded people, guideothers to move out of the building and control the blaze. Health workers werealso mobilised to provide first aid for victims.

Sen. Lieut. Gen. Do Van Khang, deputy head of the firefighting and rescuebureau of HCM City’s Police, said the city will carry out larger-scalefirefighting drills at the building in the future, with the participation ofhelicopters. /.

Running from August 4 to September 2, under the hashtag #TuHaoVietNam, the campaign invites participants in two categories: “I Love My Country” video clips and “I Love My Country” check-in photos.
