First hi-tech industrial park to be built in Dong Nai

The 300-million-USD project covering 410 hectares isexpected to transform local lands into a modern, international-level IPthat will boost the district’s socio-economic development.

Speakingat the ceremony, Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee DinhQuoc Thai underscored that the park’s establishment complies withprovincial development strategies to lure hi-tech and supportiveprojects to the locality.

He also spoke highly of thecontributions that the wholly Thai-invested Amata Vietnam Joint StockCompany has made to the province in the past 20 years while asking thecompany to enhance their efforts to implement the hi-tech IP project onschedule.

Thai said that the province is currently home to around 1,300 foreign projects with total capital of over 26 billion USD.

Forher part, Somhatai Panichewa, President of Amata Vietnam Joint StockCompany, highlighted that once operational, Long Thanh hi-tech parkhopes to attract 650-750 million USD in foreign capital and offer60,000-220,000 jobs while creating a traffic system connecting theprovince with its vicinity.-VNA
