Ford Vietnam reported a record sales turnover in September with1,390 units sold, soaring 90 percent compared to the same period lastyear. The growth was thanks to strong demand for the two small-sized models – the EcoSport and the new Fiesta. According to Ford Vietnam’s statistics, 232 EcoSport cars were soldin September, bringing the total sales of this model to 765 since itsfirst introduction in July 2014, while Fiesta’s sales reached 133 cars.
September’s sales helped push the company’s retail sales for the third quarter to 3,984 units, a 93 percent surge year-on- year.
Thecompany’s Ranger model also took lead in the semi-truck segment in thesame month with 459 units sold, soaring 183 percent and the Transitmaintained its top position in the commercial van segment with 337 unitssold, up 71 percent from one year ago.-VNA
