According to the department, the strong increase inforeign arrivals, which is 1.5 times the national rate, is particularlyencouraging in the context of unfavourable world economic situation andcomplicated changes in the East Sea.
Also in the period, the number of domestic visitors to Hanoi went up 8 percent year on year to over 14 million.
The department projected that the number of tourists to Hanoi willcontinue to rise as the peak season for foreign visitors has now set in.
