Foreign diplomats join friendship spring tour in Bac Ninh

The Vietnam Union of Friendship Organisations (VUFO) and its chapter in the northern province of Bac Ninh organised a friendship spring tour in the locality on March 4.

Bac Ninh (VNA) – TheVietnam Union of Friendship Organisations (VUFO) and its chapter in thenorthern province of Bac Ninh organised a friendship spring tour in thelocality on March 4.

Joining the tour were ambassadorsand their spouses, representatives from diplomatic agencies, international andforeign non-governmental organisations in Vietnam, ministries and agencies.

VUFO Vice President Bui Khac Sonsaid the annual tour brought them to the complex of tomb and temple of KinhDuong Vuong – founding King of Vietnam, and Dong Ho folk painting village inThuan Thanh district.

They also had a chance to enjoyBac Ninh love duets which has been recognised by UNESCO as Intangible CulturalHeritage of Humanity.

Cuban Ambassador to VietnamHermini Lopez Diaz thanked VUFO and the provincial authorities for theirhospitality, saying that the tour has given them an insight into the Vietnameseculture and history as well as the vibrant socio-economic development of BacNinh.

The tour concluded with anexchange between participants and the provincial leaders.-VNA

Running from August 4 to September 2, under the hashtag #TuHaoVietNam, the campaign invites participants in two categories: “I Love My Country” video clips and “I Love My Country” check-in photos.

With a tight 13-month deadline, the move is under a strategic and urgent policy to bridge educational gaps, train the local workforce, and shore up territorial sovereignty in some of the country’s most remote areas.
