Friendship association delegation visits Philippines

A delegation from the Vietnam-Philippines Friendship Association (VPFA) led by its Chairman Vu Van Tam has paid a working visit to the Philippines to strengthen relations between the two countries’ people.
A delegation from the Vietnam-Philippines Friendship Association (VPFA)led by its Chairman Vu Van Tam has paid a working visit to thePhilippines to strengthen relations between the two countries’people.

During the visit from June 15-19, the firstof its kind since the establishment of the association in 2014, thedelegation held talks and signed a Memorandum of Understanding oncooperation with the Philippines-Vietnam Friendship Association (PVFA)in Manila.

During their talks, the two sides discusseda proposal to establish a cooperative relationship between theVietnamese province of Quang Ngai and the Philippines’ province ofPalawan as well as boosting delegation exchanges in culture, education,economics and trade.

The PVFA also proposed establishing a cooperative relationship between Manila and Hanoi.

The delegation, in collaboration with a mission of the Ministry ofAgriculture and Rural Development and fishing businesses, held workingsessions with Philippine partners from Manila and General Santos city toboost the implementation of the fishing agreement between the twocountries.-VNA

“I Love My Country” media campaign launched

Running from August 4 to September 2, under the hashtag #TuHaoVietNam, the campaign invites participants in two categories: “I Love My Country” video clips and “I Love My Country” check-in photos.

With a tight 13-month deadline, the move is under a strategic and urgent policy to bridge educational gaps, train the local workforce, and shore up territorial sovereignty in some of the country’s most remote areas.
