Friendship association launches Chinese-language newspaper edition

The edition mainly covers socio-politic issues andpeople-to-people diplomacy, including the policies of the Party andState in the country’s renovation process and global integration,contributing to raising the public’s awareness on the Vietnameseexternal affairs policies.
Addressing the launch, Le Quang Thien,Editor-in-Chief of Thoi Dai newspaper, said the debut version willreflect the official voice of the Vietnamese people and socio-politicorganisations for Chinese readers.
It aims to provide informationfor those who are able to use the Chinese language around the world,helping them better understand the land and people of Vietnam, he added.
Theversion is also a type of people-to-people diplomatic channel,expressing the Vietnamese aspirations for peace, friendship and mutualrespect as well as its will to safeguard the country.

According to the Central Committee of the Vietnam Red Cross Society (VRC), this year’s campaign provided long-term aid for 3,785 individuals and organisations. Support included houses, clean water systems, school meal facilities, books, and livelihood assistance, with a total value of more than 118 billion VND.
