Fukushima festival to highlight Vietnam-Japan friendship

The latest images of reconstruction in Fukushima Prefecture after the earthquake and tsunami disaster in Japan two years ago will be featured at the Fukushima Festival in Hanoi from November 2-3.
The latest images of reconstruction in Fukushima Prefecture after theearthquake and tsunami disaster in Japan two years ago will be featuredat the Fukushima Festival in Hanoi from November 2-3.

Jointlyorganised by the Fukushima chapter of the Japan-Vietnam FriendshipAssociation and the Japanese Embassy in Vietnam, the event is to showFukushima’s gratitude to supports given by the Vietnamese people whenthe region was hit by the natural disaster.

It is also expectedto contribute to promoting reconstruction in the locality, whilefurther strengthening friendship between the two countries.

Aspart of the activities to mark the 40th anniversary of Vietnam-Japandiplomatic relation, the event will exhibit images depicting importantmilestones in the diplomatic ties between Fukushima and Vietnam.

Many stalls will be set up to introduce visitors to Japanese culture,such as tea ceremonies and sake rice wine. Japanese traditionalcostumes will also be put on show at the event.-VNA
