Gout de France to attract chefs from 24 restaurants nationwide
The Gout de France/Good France 2017, a global event on the French gastronomy, in Vietnam will bring together chefs from 24 restaurants in Hanoi, Hoi An, Da Nang, Hue and Ho Chi Minh City on March 21.

HCM City (VNA) – The Gout deFrance/Good France 2017, a global event on the French gastronomy, in Vietnamwill bring together chefs from 24 restaurants in Hanoi, Hoi An, Da Nang, Hueand Ho Chi Minh City on March 21.
The event, a dinner to honour France’s cuisine,will take place at the French Embassy in Hanoi and the French Consulate Generalin Ho Chi Minh City, French Consul General to HCM City Emmanuel Ly-Batallan saidat a press conference on March 14.
Chefs of French cuisine will have a chance toshow off their skills and share experience with peers, thus celebratingFrance’s gastronomy.
At this year’s Gout de France – the third of itskind so far, high school and university students will also take part in thepreparation of a French-style meal, the diplomat said.
He added that in HCM City, the Hoa SenUniversity and the University of Technology, which offers cookery courses, willrespectively coordinate with France’s Vatel university and Cergy PontoiseUniversity to help high school students come to learn about the programme andexperience of alumni who used to pursue cuisine and hotel-related courses inFrance.
The Gout de France is organised in about 150countries around the world with a view to honouring the creativity and qualityof France’s gastronomy, which is considered a pillar of the country’sheritage.-VNA
