Government allocates rice to residents in four provinces

Deputy Prime Minister Vuong Dinh Hue has recently inked decisions on rice distribution to the provinces of Ha Giang, Bac Kan, Thanh Hoa and Phu Yen ahead of Tet (Lunar New Year) festival.

Hanoi (VNA) – Deputy Prime Minister Vuong Dinh Hue has recently inkeddecisions on rice distribution to the provinces of Ha Giang, Bac Kan, Thanh Hoaand Phu Yen ahead of Tet (Lunar New Year) festival.

He ordered the Ministry of Finance to allocate over 1,400 tonnes of rice fromthe national reserves for needy residents in those localities.

Accordingly, the northern mountainous province of Ha Giang will receive 340.5tonnes of rice while the amount for the northern mountainous province of BacKan, the central province of Thanh Hoa and the south central province of PhuYen are 99.2 tonnes, 677.6 tonnes and 302.3 tonnes, respectively.

The provincial People’s Committees of the provinces are required to ensuretimely rice distribution to the targeted residents.-VNA
