Hanoi (VNA) - The Government has issued Resolution No. 76/NQ-CPapproving the Master Programme on State Administration Reform for the2021-2030 period.
Under the resolution, the Government will focus on the following six areas,namely institutional reform, administrative procedure reform, organisationalreform of the State administrative apparatus, civil service reform, publicfinance reform, and development of e-Government and digital government.
For administrative procedure reform, the Government targets to cut or simplifyat least 20 percent of procedures and 20 percent of the compliance costsregarding to business-related procedures by 2025, reported the VietnamGovernment Portal (VGP).
At least 80 percent ofadministrative procedures of ministries, agencies and localities are providedonline at levels 3 and 4.
By 2030, at least 90 percent of ministries, agencies and localities will beprovided online at levels 3 and 4.
The Government seeksto ensure that Vietnam enter the top 30 countries in terms of businessenvironment.
The Master Programmeon State Administration Reform is renewed every ten years, with the previousone was implemented from 2011-2020.
According to PermanentDeputy Prime Minister Truong Hoa Binh, administrative reform is a prerequisitefor the success of the country's socio-economic development in the context ofglobalisation and international integration.
As of November lastyear, it has reduced and simplified more than 1,000 administrative procedures.As many as 3,893 out of 6,191 business conditions and 6,776 out of 9,926 ofgoods subject to specialised inspection have been cut. These reductions havesaved about 18 million working days per year or over 6.3 trillion VND (272million USD) a year for society, people and businesses.
The PublicAdministration Reform Index, first introduced in 2012, has become an importanttool to measure the progress of public administration reform at ministries,agencies and localities./.

The new Quang Tri province will include 78 commune-level units and features key assets such as the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park, a long coastline, historical landmarks, three international border gates, deep-water ports, a modern transport network, and two airports.
The rehearsal took place at the National Military Training Centre No. 4, the Vietnam National University - Hanoi, and the Vietnam National Village for Ethnic Culture and Tourism, involving more than 7,400 officers and soldiers.
