Greetings to Laos’ 41st National Day

Hanoi (VNA) –Deputy Foreign Minister Ha Kim Ngoc and a Foreign Ministry delegation visitedthe Lao Embassy in Hanoi on December 1 to congratulate its staff on their country’s41st National Day (December 2).

Ngoc congratulated Laopeople on the great achievements they have made during the nationalconstruction and development over the past 41 years.

He expressed pleasure atthe sound cooperation outcomes between the two Foreign Ministries over the pastyears, both bilaterally and at regional and international forums.

The Deputy FM asked theembassy to continue working closely with Vietnam’s ministries and sectors toprepare for the 39th meeting of the Vietnam-Laos Inter-Governmental Committeeon bilateral cooperation as well as the 55th anniversary ofbilateral diplomatic relations and 40 years of the signing of the Vietnam-Laosagreement on friendship and cooperation, which are all in 2017.

On his part, Lao ambassadorto Vietnam Thongsavanh Phomvihane thanked leaders of Vietnam for always giving heed to reinforcingthe Vietnam-Laos special friendship as well as support to the Lao Embassy.

He affirmed that theembassy will continue making contributions to the growth of bilateral ties inall fields. The diplomat also expressed belief that the Vietnam-Laos relationswill be evergreen and everlastingly stable.-VNA
