Ha Nam, Hiroshima to cooperate in water issues

Hiroshima is interestedin investment projects in Ha Nam and wants to share its experienceto better run them, said Yoshio Sato, an official from the HiroshimaDepartment of Commerce, Industry and Labour.

Heurged the two sides to work together on cooperation orientations andmeasures as well as specific projects, so that Hiroshima can choosesuitable firms to collaborate with.

In theshort-term, the Japanese prefecture will focus on water plant buildingand upgrading projects in Duy Tien district and Phu Ly city, and awastewater treatment plant at the Dong Van 3 Industrial Zone.

The same day, representatives from Swing Corporation, a renownedJapanese company specialising in water supply and treatment, visited theareas allocated for the aforesaid projects.-VNA

In 2019, Quang Ninh became one of the first localities in Vietnam to launch a province-wide campaign against plastic waste, mobilising the participation of the political system, the business sector, and the general public. Other localities—such as Hai Phong, Da Nang, Binh Duong, and Ho Chi Minh City—have also effectively implemented waste-sorting initiatives at source, along with models for plastic-free markets and urban areas.
